Dam Safety
Dam Safety Branch has responsibility for developing and executing a comprehensive dam safety risk management program for all dams in the state of Colorado in the interest of public safety and sustainable and resilient water storage.
Data & Information
The Data & Information Section provides free public access to a variety of water research tools, including tabular data, map viewer and imaged documents.
Water Administration
The Water Administration Sections, led by Division Engineers in 7 Statewide Division Offices, administer the waters of the state and Colorado's water sharing agreements with other states.
Well Construction & Inspection
The Well Construction and Inspection Sections collect and publish hydrogeologic data, work with the Board of Examiners, and enforce well construction standards to protect public health.
Flow Measurement
The Flow Measurement Section includes Streamflow, Diversion Data, the Well Meter Tester Certification Program, and Surface & Groundwater Diversion Measurement Guidance and Requirements.
Well Permitting
The Well Permitting Section evaluates applications for well permits throughout the state, including Denver Basin and Designated Basin areas.
