As a result of recent legislation (HB25-1014), DWR is required to notify the owner of record of a non-exempt permit that the permit has expired.  Such permits are expired if acceptable evidence that the well was constructed within two years of permit issuance was not provided to our office.  DWR is in the process of notifying individuals by mailed postcards that such permits have expired and advising them to contact our office for information on next steps.  If you have received this mailing and have questions about what you need to do, please complete this AskDWR Form with your well permit number and any other relevant information, and we will be in touch with you soon.  If you have received a mailing and do not own a well, you do not need to respond or contact our office.
